In 1998, Harold Rhéaume created his first major work, Les dix commandements, which examines complex issues related to the values and moral codes that hold a society together. His company, Le fils d’Adrien danse, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021. To mark the occasion, it revisited this mythical and emblematic work.
To encourage reflection on transmission and memory, and to honour the participation of dancers in the creative process, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault, in close collaboration with Le fils d’Adrien danse, launched a major project: Les dix commandements: Encounters (1998–2021). The project consists of ten meetings between the original and current dancers, who will talk about the work, its meaning and its score.
