Harold Rhéaume interviews Alexandre Carlos dancer in the 2021 version of Les Dix Commandements and Jacques Moisan, dancer of the 1998 version.

 

For this intense role, the choreographer chose two dancers who could incarnate both the strange and the destructive. It was a difficult role, particularly for Jacques Moisan, for whom the score evoked the tragedy of Polytechnique. The discussion explored how the dancers approached their roles. Excerpts of 1998 and 2021 also reveal the transformation of the play in terms of the lighting and music and the dancers’ movements.
