In partnership with Espace Perreault Choreographic Transmission, a workshop was held with choreographer Louise Bédard in dialogue with choreographer Marie Claire Forté. The workshop took shape around Louise Bédard’s personal and artistic trajectory, and is the second in a series of workshops honoring women artists in the field of the performing arts. A combination of reflective sharing and hands-on experience, it provided an opportunity for discussion and experimentation with Louise Bédard and Marie Claire Forté. Under the direction of Véronique Hudon, this research-creation art project is the subject of collaborative video work with artist Vickie Grondin.

This workshop is part of the Les archives du futur project, which involves situated research in collaboration with various arts organizations. Les archives du futur aims to develop alternative and experimental methods of artistic archiving. The present documents represent traces of the experiments that have taken place, and will contribute to the elaboration of a collection of “living archives”, a video, sound and performative installation project.

The project is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts under “Research and Creation”.
