On November 21, 2019, at the Maison des arts de Laval, choreographer Danièle Desnoyers presented UNFOLD | Une conférence dansée, a collective performance inspired by the creative process behind the work UNFOLD | 7 perspectives.
On stage, Danièle Desnoyers stands behind a table covered in creative notebooks and other objects. Her goal: to reveal her approach to dance and the choreographic process. A live video projection allows viewers to see the contents of the notebooks. Seven dancers in the space perform excerpts from UNFOLD | 7 perspectives. This intimate experience brings the choreographer’s experience vividly to the forefront, giving meaning to the work.
Dancers: Myriam Arseneault, Paige Culley, Jean-Benoit Labrecque, Louis-Elyan Martin, Nicolas Patry, Brontë Poiré-Prest and Milan Panet-Gigon.
