During this time, I learned I was pregnant and chose not to continue the pregnancy. THREAD/BARE allowed me to leave traces throughout the space—fragments of my experience—through which I shaped myself within the installation. Existing there, holding my soft secret, helped me process this transition and release a future I chose to change.
