In a lively, inspired interview, Alejandro Rodriguez, theatre artist and poet of Cuban origin living in New York, tells us about the genesis of his friendship with Crazy Smooth, the partnership that blossomed through their love for hip hop culture, and his contribution to the creation of In my body. A solid, supporting presence in the studio, constantly asking questions of the dancers, listening personified, Alejandro needs to write to see the bodies up close. He underscores the courage of the choreography, which deals with aging bodies in hip hop culture, a culture that values both strength and virtuosity.

A fascinating encounter for exploring the connections between dance and writing, conducted by Sophie Michaud, dramaturgical consultant for the project.
