Interview with Stella Zannou about his career and approach to teaching contemporary dance in an international context.

Originally from Greece and now based in Berlin, dancer, choreographer, and teacher Stella Zannou tells us how her career led her to offer her classes to dancers with a range of experience. In the En aparté series produced by Circuit-Est, she talks to Daniel Villeneuve about the pleasure of creating a challenge in a technical class to stimulate collaboration, which fuels her teaching in return. Driven by the desire to see dancers’ training as a collective act, she points to generational and post-pandemic changes in mentalities in the culture of dance.
