Quebec’s choreographic heritage: new approaches to dissemination, transmission and evaluation

It is with great pleasure that Lise Gagnon, Executive Director of the FJPP, will be participating in a session devoted to dance at the upcoming conference of the Association des archivistes du Québec.

The session, proposed and planned by Valérie Lessard, will look at our dance archives from three distinct perspectives:

Les archives de la danse à BAnQ, by Hélène Fortier of BAnQ
A presentation of the contemporary dance fonds at BAnQ and the Guide des archives de la danse au Québec.

Les archives de la danse : Quels critères pour l’évaluation?, by Valérie Lessard
A theoretical look at how artists and other stakeholders determine the value of dance archives.

EC2_Espaces chorégraphiques 2 : Pour le rayonnement international des patrimoines chorégraphiques contemporains et actuels, by Lise Gagnon
A presentation of EC2 as an opportunity to showcase Quebec’s contemporary dance legacies and living archives around the world, notably through its Media Library and Choreographic Toolkits.
