Wonderful news: our application submitted as part of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec’s Exploration and Digital Deployment measure has been accepted! The project will enable the creation of two new evolving digital choreographic toolkits to document and offer visibility through an innovative approach to two significant works from our homegrown choreographic repertoire.
The power and depth of Joe and its formal richness make it a timeless, moving, and powerful piece. Mozongi is a masterpiece from the repertoire of Nyata Nyata: it is part of the African dance tradition as well as part of a renewal of contemporary dance and artistic creation.
The project enjoys the collaboration of several partners: Filigranes Archives, Danse Danse, SIT Scènes interactives technologiques, BAnQ, and, of course, Zab Maboungou/Compagnie Danse Nyata Nyata.
