Danser Perreault at the BAnQ

At the launch of Phase 2 of the online exhibition Jean-Pierre Perreault, choreographer, Ginelle Chagnon and Marc Boivin, who worked extensively with Perreault, gave a talk on conserving and transmitting a choreographer’s oeuvre. The presentation was followed by a screening of the film Danser Perreault by Tim Southam (Les Films de l’Isle, 2005, 52 min.)–a poignant love letter to a unique Montréal creator who was fiercely devoted to his art and collaborators. In the film, a variety of dancers enact Jean-Pierre Perreault’s artistic heritage and bring his memory to life through words, movement and images.
