For 30 years, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault has preserved and showcased the work of Jean-Pierre Perreault (1947-2002). In recent years, it has expanded its mission to assume a unique role in promoting Quebec’s contemporary dance heritage. On May 8, 2014, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault celebrated its 30th anniversary and announced a series of major new projects.
The event was held at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ). Marc Boivin and Lise Gagnon presented a moving tribute to Perreault and discussed how the Fondation plans to pursue its mission of promoting and transmitting Quebec’s choreographic heritage to the general public and dance professionals.
