Shame — Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour

Harold Rhéaume interviews Eve Rousseau-Cyr dancer in the 2021 version of Les Dix Commandements and Sophie Corriveau, dancer of the 1998 version.

During this encounter, Harold Rhéaume, choreographer and Sophie Corriveau, dancer behind the commandment Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour, look at the creative process for the commandment with Eve Rousseau-Cyr, who resumed the role for the recreation.

Vulnerability, writing the role, the interplay between reality and fiction, and the interest of the constraint the commandment imposed while offering a great deal of space for freedom were addressed. In the second part of the encounter, the conversation surprisingly shifts to the issue of maternity: it is a captivating discussion that touches the heart and body of dancers, and the relationship to oneself and the practice.
