The inspiring guided tour of the online exhibition Jean-Pierre Perreault, Choreographer is now online!

The guide was created for high school students and teachers by Nicole Turcotte, visiting professor at the UQAM dance department. It will engage students and teachers in dance appreciation and creative activities that meet the requirements of the Quebec education ministry dance training program.

The online exhibition is a unique initiative that promotes Jean-Pierre Perreault’s artistic legacy by providing access to a treasure trove of videos, photos, archival documents and interviews with close collaborators. The open-ended and creative tour of the exhibition takes students on a journey of discovery into Perreault’s distinctive choreographic universe.

This is a unique educational experience that supports teacher’s efforts to transmit culture to their students. Visitors are encouraged to explore the layers of meaning in Perreault’s choreographies and to use his work to stimulate their own creativity.

In short, students are led through an online collection of compelling and inventive dance-related materials that will enrich their choreographic and cultural education.
