The April 15 exhibition and sale was a magical night. What a joy to come together around the work of Jean-Pierre Perreault and dance show photos for an evening!
Our goal was to raise at least $3,000 – which we handily exceeded: with donations, entry fees, the sale of publications, visual works and photographs combined, we raised $10,000. How wonderful, and unprecedented!
The event’s success was largely due to the participation of these incredible people, whom we warmly thank:
- Françoise Sullivan and Marc Boivin, who presided over the evening with inspiration, joy and charisma
- Michèle Febvre, who brought his great sensitivity to Jean-Pierre Perreault’s words
- Marie Claire Forté, who delivered a stirring tribute to Peter Boneham, colleague and dear friend of Jean-Pierre Perreault
- The gallerist Eric Devlin, who offered sound advice on organizing the evening and presenting the works
- Renée Hudon and her partner Gordon Page, who skilfully managed the bar and helped pack the pieces
- Claire MacKinnon, who so generously spent over six hours unpacking and packing pieces
- Pascale Laliberté, who warmly greeted guests at the door of 840 Cherrier
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Xavier Curnillon and the staff of the UQAM Dance Department, who showed such friendship with their skilful support for how the evening unfolded.
Finally, thank you so much to all those who attended. Without you, none of this would have been possible. Your generosity will help make new projects happen in 2025-2026. Thank you so much!
