Espace Perreault get-together: Ancestral Memories of Dancing Bodies, the collective

May 12, 2023

Espace Perreault Get-Togethers are 5 à 7 events that offer a warm, relaxed atmosphere to meet dance artists, ask them questions, and find out what drives them. Every 5 à 7 event is dedicated to a specific, shared challenge that is central to the creative process.

Ancestral Memories of Dancing Bodies, the collective

We are thrilled to invite you to a new get-together at l’Espace Perreault. It will be held at the MAI | Montréal, arts interculturels on Friday, May 12.

The evening will feature Lucy Fandel, Charo Foo Tai Wei and Heather Mah – three dancers who took part in the Ancestral Memories of Dancing Bodies workshop. The residency took place last November at Fort de l’île Ste-Hélène, in collaboration with le Campus de la transition écologique and Espace Perreault. They will discuss their exchange of creative processes inspired by a deep dive into their ancestral memories. They will also explain how the residency enhanced and continues to inspire their artistic practices.

If you’d like to meet and chat with the artists and gain new insights around the transmission of ancestral memories—all in a warm and relaxed setting—don’t hesitate to join us for our next 5 à 7.

May 12, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
At the MAI | Montréal Café-bar, arts interculturels
3680 rue Jeanne-Mance

With Lucy Fandel, Charo Foo Tai Wei and Heather Mah
