Espace Perreault Transmissions chorégraphiques is looking for a culturally diverse candidate to fill a project manager intern position supported by the Conseil des arts de Montréal’s DémART program.
Our organization is dedicated to research and creation around dance memories. It fosters reflection and develops cultural mediation tools based on dance creation, documentation and transmission processes. It is open to multiple voices and forms of experimentation.
The internship provides work experience in the arts community, enabling the intern to gain an understanding of the Montréal arts scene, while developing their professional career.
Working closely with the team, the intern will actively take part in Espace Perreault’s activities. They will mainly coordinate the logistics of the MEMORIES, IDENTITIES AND DECOLONIAL PRACTICES IN DANCE
focus days that Espace Perreault will hold at MAI ⏐ Montréal, arts interculturels on April 9 and 10, 2026. The event, open to all dance communities, will highlight the plurality of dance practices by reflection on the issues that link identity, memory, colonialism and creation.
Status and conditions:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Be culturally diverse (ethnic or visible minorities)
- Be an immigrant (newcomer or first-generation)
- Reside on the Island of Montréal
In addition, the person must :
- Have experience in the arts community acquired in another country but not yet fully recognized here (in the sense that the person has never been able to work in an environment that recognizes their skills)
or
- Be born outside of Canada but have grown up here, and not having been able to fully integrate the arts community despite having diplomas or artistic experience.
Duration of the internship program : 30 weeks, from January 5, 2026 to June 30, 2026
CAM is offering $12,000 for the internship, for 600 hours, at an hourly rate of $20/hour – but Espace Perreault may increase this amount depending on the grants received by the organization.
Experience or keen interest in dance an asset.
