Celebrating 30 years of the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault

For 30 years, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault has preserved and showcased the work of Jean-Pierre Perreault (1947-2002). In recent years, it has expanded its mission to assume a unique role in promoting Quebec’s contemporary dance heritage. On May 8, 2014, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault celebrated its 30th anniversary and announced a series of major new projects.

The event was held at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ). Marc Boivin and Lise Gagnon presented a moving tribute to Perreault and discussed how the Fondation plans to pursue its mission of promoting and transmitting Quebec’s choreographic heritage to the general public and dance professionals.

The FJPP invited performance artists The Two Gullivers to create a work inspired by the Jean-Pierre Perreault Fonds.
