As indisciplinary artist, choreographer and teacher, Nicholas Bellefleur explores a world in constant flux — queer, post-humanist and radically alive — in which art, dance and being together become a space for care, resistance and metamorphosis.
After collaborating closely with Andrea Peña, Virginie Brunelle and Wynn Holmes, Bellefleur co-founds proto studio alongside Cai Glover and Caroline Namts in Tiohtiake Montréal: a self-governed art centre, a place for dance, emancipation and coexistence.
