Claudia Chan Tak
Multidisciplinary artist
Claudia Chan Tak is a multidisciplinary Quebec artist of Malagasy-Chinese heritage, trained in visual arts (Concordia, Bachelor’s with distinction, 2009) and contemporary dance (UQAM, Bachelor’s 2012 & Master’s 2017). Her artistic and activist journey is deeply rooted in the valorization of Asian communities, which she champions through her projects.
In 2022, she received the prestigious Prix Envol, awarded by the Prix de la danse and the Conseil des arts de Montréal, in recognition of her artistic, community and curatorial practice that champions cultural diversity and inclusive practices.
