Angélique Willkie
Performer, singer, dramaturg and teacher
Angélique Willkie is a multidisciplinary performer, singer, dramaturg and pedagogue whose career spans over 25 years in Europe and Canada. After completing a Master’s degree in Economics at McGill University, she trained at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre before building an extensive European career with artists including Alain Platel, Jan Lauwers and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. She has taught at leading institutions such as ImpulsTanz and SEAD, and spent 8 years at Brussels’ École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque as teacher and Pedagogical Coordinator. Since returning to Montreal in 2014, she continues to work as creator, dramaturge and teacher, with ongoing research into interdisciplinary creation, circus dramaturgy and the voice as a performance instrument.
